Katharina Zeppezauer-Wachauer and Marco Heiles, supported by Leonie Weiß und Julia Höpfner, composed the application-oriented LOD-thesaurus “mhdbdb text series – Textreihentypologie“, which can be used to classify and annotate medieval ressources. The text series typology is a controlled SKOS-vocabulary to describe the text series/genres of the Middle High German and Early New High German literature till around 1520. The blog post “Eine digitale Textreihentypologie für deutschsprachige Texte des Mittelalters und der Frühen Neuzeit. Showcase eines kontrollierten Vokabulars in SKOS“, released in Mittelalter – Interdisziplinäre Forschung und Rezeptionsgeschichte, presents the underlying concept of the text series, exemplifies the methodoloy and displays its application on two examples.
The data is not only available on GitHub and in the UHH research data repository, but there is also an interface with visualisations.
On 22.06.23 Marco Heiles and Katharina Zeppezauer-Wachauer gave a lecture about the text series typology with the title “Textreihen. Eine digitale Textreihentypologie der historischen Wissens- und Gebrauchsliteratur als LOD” in the 7th HWGL evening colloquium of the Netzwerk Historische Wissens-und Gebrauchsliteratur e.V.
